Although filmmaker Nishikanth Kamat hails from the Marathi film industry, he carved a niche for himself through ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ that released a few years back in 2008. And these days, the Bollywood-Kollywood connection seems to be growing strong as many movies from the south are being remade in here.

On a similar note, Nishikanth is working on yet another remake Bollywood movie-buffs will witness this July. The filmmaker was impressed with the Tamil 2003 super hit ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ and found the script even more apt for Hindi audiences.

Yes, we are referring to ‘Force’ that will feature John Abraham and Genelia D’ Souza in the lead roles.

The original version that had Suriya and Jyothika (now real life couple) in the lead roles saw Suriya as an encounter specialist and how life changes when the goons choose him and his family as a target. Jyothika (of ‘Doli Saja Ke Rakhna’ fame) donned the role of a calm and serene teacher who woos the hero.

However, our birdies say that Nishikanth has reworked a little bit on the script to suit the tastes of Hindi audiences. While many wonder how Genelia will fit the role played by Jyothika, we can definitely say Nishikanth will offer us another grand movie.

Vipul Shah, the producer of the action-packed thriller confirmed the movie will hit the screens this July as only a few shots are pending to be shot.
